Need a Light?

by Nicki Hausman: Transformed Women's Leadership Team & Prayer Partner

Sometimes there is a power outage- never a good thing, right? Darkness can be caused by a storm, overloaded circuits, or an accident that damages a transformer.

We too experience power outages and life becomes more difficult. We do not know what to do in the storm and seem unable to make our way through in the dark. The blackness that results hinders forward movement and it becomes almost impossible to see where we are going-we need a light.

Sometimes the responsibilities and demands of life put us in darkness as our circuits are overloaded and the warning signal reads "too much"!  There are more tasks than time. You know the saying, “Burning the candle at both ends” means we eventually run out of wax.
Or there are tragedies that turn the lights out. Disasters in relationships, finances, health, and circumstances beyond our control.

No matter what triggers the outage, there is a Person Who holds our lives in His hand-He sees us-even in the darkest night. John 12:44-47 reminds us, "44 And Jesus cried out and said, “Whoever believes in me, believes not in me but in him who sent me. 45 And whoever sees me sees him who sent me. 46 I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness. 47 If anyone hears my words and does not keep them, I do not judge him; for I did not come to judge the world but to save the world.”

Look up child!
Surrender to the One Who rides on the storms. He will guide you. He is the Light.
