Jesus Knows How You Feel
Jesus understands how you feel
Kristi’s Response~
Sometimes, we think it is so hard to deal with rejection, being misunderstood, and life in general just being difficult. But we have a high priest who understands how we feel. I remember when I was broken, in the deepest pain, the Lord clearly reminded me that He knew my hurt. The revelation in that moment brought strength to me knowing that He saw me but it also defeated the lies of the enemy that said I was alone and no one knew how I felt. I responded like Jesus did in the Garden of Gethsemane and stated, "Lord, remove this cup from me, but if not, then Your will be done" (Luke 22:42).
When Jesus came and walked the earth, he dealt with the same feelings we experience. He was rejected by his family and by those He came to serve- at some point. He was misunderstood by people who wanted a leader to overturn the Roman government not one who would surrender His life for all. Jesus was beat, spit on, and made fun of for you and I. Yes, He even felt abandoned by God when He hung on the cross, "Why have you forsaken me" (Mark 16:34).
Life didn’t seem fair for Jesus who was completely innocent and it won’t be for us at times either. But we can rest assured that God is always with us. He never leaves us nor forsakes us. Anything that we face has been through His hands and is not a surprise to Him. Brother or sister, keep walking. Lean into the Lord.
He knows how you feel, He sees where you are, and He is walking right beside you. You are not alone!
