How do I pray for someone to be healed when the last person I prayed for died?
How do I pray for someone to be healed when the last person I prayed for died?
Kristi’s Answer-
I have been in this place multiple times. The scripture that gives me peace is Proverbs 3:5-6, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.” We must recognize that God is sovereign and His will trumps everything. Understanding His actions is not a prerequisite for our faith.
We know that Jesus healed people and through the stripes on His back, healing is possible (Is 53:5). It is this belief that should motivate us to continue to pray for people to be made whole. It was the Lord’s design for us to be in His presence but sin entered the equation, therefore ushering in sickness. We must press through our inability to grasp the why and continue to lay hands on the sick and pray for their healing. Our obedience is the only aspect we can control. The results are up to the Lord.
I encourage you to read scriptures that reveal healing and memorize them. Speak them throughout the day. Meditate on them. Then, when led by the Lord, step out and pray again. Keep pressing. Keep praying. You never know when the bowls of heaven will tip from the weight of your prayers and the impossible becomes possible.
