How can I remember how much God loves me?
Kristi’s Answer-
This is a great question. Paul talks about remaining rooted and grounded in the love of God and then he prays for the Ephesians to know the depth, breadth, length, and width of it (Ephesians 3:17-18). The importance of knowing this immeasurable love cannot be overstated. It is what anchors our lives.
Here are two quick aspects to help. First, I often pray, “Lord, let me know Your love today afresh. Allow me to see it all around me.” This keeps our focus on all the blessings we do have. When we need forgiveness, it reminds us that we are forgiven. Sometimes I read the account of the last day that Jesus lived to remind me of the cost of His love for me.
Second, I remember that my circumstances do not determine His love. When days are difficult, we have a tendency to think the Lord has left us or that His love was withdrawn. It is during these times, that I reflect on the words of Christ that says we will have trials and tribulations but that He has overcome them all (John 16:33). The enemy will speak lies during these times but we must grasp on to the truth of God’s love.
You are dearly loved my friend.
